kiddos @ work

Whenever Sara spots her brothers going up the stairs to the study room, she’ll ask me to take her up too….. she’ll come to me and say “ paint, paint” by pointing her fingers up. Last evening, while Sean is playing his Wii game, I get Shayne and Sara to paint. They enjoyed this ‘painting’ session a lot…..

Look at his happy expressions.... I should conduct more art sessions with them.....

I told him to think of a composition before painting....

She enjoys washing her brushes and changing colours....

I like this photo of small creative hands......

Tooth Fairy

…. Sean was thrilled when he found a one dollar coin beneath his pillow on Sunday morning. He told me that the tooth fairy ‘bought’ his tooth. Yes, at 5+ he still believes in fairies and pixies….

Two weeks ago, Sean commented that his front tooth is shaky. Ya, a little shaky I thought… I forgot all about it as I assume it will drop by itself. Last Friday, my mom reminded me about his shaky teeth, I checked it out and realized that a small teeth is growing behind his existing teeth. Everyone in the family was like....how... what to do now.... a new teeth is growing behind an existing one....oh no.... his new teeth will be crooked.......so on and so forth.
My mom reprimanded me and was more worried than myself that Sean’s new teeth will be crooked. She urged me to visit a ‘better dentist’ for consultation immediately. Made the appointment on Saturday… Sean first dental visit went smoothly and the tooth was extracted without fuss. Saturday night, he placed his tooth under his pillow……
Tooth Fairy visited Sean at 5 years 4 months.... first front tooth

Run...

run…. as fast as you can…. cos’ I’m the gingerbread man…. Ring a bell… one of the boys fave story book Gingerbread man. This is how the kiddos behave in the mall. Sara loves to run behind her brothers. I have to constantly remind them that this place is not a playground....

Sara touches the water fountain and Sean immediately pushes her hand away. He takes great care of Sara.

She loves flower. Her first Chinese word is "Hua" ie flower.

Went to My Gym free play yesterday. I tried to get Sean into Gym classes again… it’s the whiz kids class, Amelia said that Sean and Shayne can be in the same class…that would be great if two of them can be in the same class. Sean was previously from that class but stopped as he does not want to continue. Will send Shayne for the whiz kid trial class tomorrow if Sean wants to attend too.

Have a great weekend.

19.3.09

She was balancing her bum on the bar... out of a sudden... her bum slided into the gap. She had a shock too.....

Some random thoughts....about them…on 19.3.09

Sean – he told me that he wants ta gugu to guide him in his Chinese spelling. I reckoned that he does not want me to teach cos’ I’m very strict and firm with him. Let’s see how he scores for his test tomorrow. If I am not firm with him… he’ll not do well… huh what should I do???

Shayne – Whenever Sean is doing his homework, Shayne told me that he wants to write his ABCs too. My mom taught him to write numbers. He is doing well. As for his phonics… after a few months of phonic class in Twinkle Stars, he is able to tell the first alphabets to most words. Updates... good news, the teachers in Little Fairyland told me that he loves the school food a lot and finished them real fast. I have been wondering when will he be able to eat rice… Yes, kids development milestones varies. Shayne speaks in proper sentences at 3 years old. Now, he is the most talkative in class and go around lecturing others. As he is able to take rice bread etc… we will be planning for a holidays to Disneyland. That is my promise to him. He loves Disney playhouse.

Sara, eating – she loves food and take all kind of food we are taking. She is really cute and imitates her brothers… in words and action. Whenever I teach or tell her something, she usually turns to daddy and teaches him too. The other day I told her that it is raining…. she turns to daddy and said…” papa.. it’s raining.” She loves her papa very much.

Daddy gives her all sorts of munchies....

She's looking at daddy for more food...

They adore each other.....

Cousins.....

Sean also loves....

bears. ..... Sean has always wanted to build a bear for himself. However, daddy claimed that beary stuff are feminine. Last Friday, he skipped school cos’ of his doctor appointment. He had his fave buwalked past a build-a-bear shop. Sean immediately told me that he wants to build one for Sara. Ok, since Sara likes bear, we went into the shop. After building it, he told me that HIS bear Scooter needs some sports gear… I was like..huh???, I thought that is for Sara. He told me that this bear is too cute to be given away. OK, daddy…..boys love bears too.

Press Scooter's hand..."I love you" ...

Dressing his Scooter...

Ta da..... my Scooter.
Shayne will be here to build his bear too.....

Shayne is beginning to try out more food. He loves noodle. I promised to take him to Tokyo Disneyland if he can eat rice.

Whenever gugus are here, there's always ice-cream.....

After ice-cream.... fun begins... took ferris wheel and plane rides.

Ta gugu taught Sean Chinese spelling, Ra gugu taught him English spelling….. he got loads of stars from the teachers. So glad to have them around.

Sara @ 16 months

Sara…. @ 16 months old….

Height : 83cm
Weight : 12 kg

- wears 2T clothes.

- does not like milk that much… prefers her “stars” snack. Her first ‘stars’ was given by Claire… since than… that’s always been her fave snack.

- loves M&Ms… she always look for grandma for M&Ms after dinner. Her diction on M&M is so clear. Perhaps, she likes it so much that she has learnt to pronounce it.

- she communicates to us in single word and through her body language these days. Her word repertoire has increased tremendously. She appears to understands what her brothers are telling her.

- she is very dramatic…. a natural actress indeed.

- she likes her climbing station with slide… that’s her fortress now…. whenever she sees stranger, she’ll run into that fortress immediately.

- likes Barney. Whenever we are in Parkway P, she will take the Barney rides…. And numerous times too…

- she loves to snuggle with Sean… as for Shayne… he fights and lecture her. Teacher Joni told me that when new schoolmate cries, Shayne will tell them : You are not a baby anymore… and stop crying….”

- she likes our next door tenant .... the "bao bao aunty". She really adores Sara.

- our little Sara .... she's still very very cute and adorable....

So thankful

Claire just sms me about my blog mia.….Yes, I have been really busy lately. We are left with only a maid. But fortunately, my sis-in-law came over last Sunday to help out. Thanks a lot. To think of it, I’m not a very multi-task person. I need tons of help huh?...

Here is my support list…..a very comprehensive support group….

Mom:- Cook the kids meal. and ferry them back from school.

Dad :- Keep an eye on the kids. He dotes on Sara a lot and plays with her when everyone is busy.

Helper 1 :- Take care of Sean and Shayne

Helper 2: Take care of Sara. Our helper number 2 will be in today.

Our next door tenant:- Bao Bao aunty. She’s a Pei Du Mama who has a 16 years old daughter. Her daughter is very bright and score very well for her “O” levels last year. Sara calls her Bao Bao ( baby) instead. Bao Bao aunty will be in our place every afternoon to talk and play with Sara.

Foon Che: My sis-in-law. She is so ever ready to come down once we call her. So thankful for her too.

With such a complete support list… I reckoned that I should not be tired. But I am indeed very tired and needed a holiday without the kids….. But it is not possible as Sara is very attached to me since Ivy left last Dec. These few days, she wakes up at 1am… plays till 5am before falling asleep again. *That left me with 3 hours of sleep every night*. Found the culprit…that is one of the reasons why I am so tired. Motherhood…. I’m a mother to three beautiful kids, although it is very challenging but worth every second of my time. I am still struggling to spend equal quality time with each of them.

To be honest, my work is very tough, so many deadlines to meet … coupled with very unreasonable clients who have problems selling their condo units or clients who cannot rent out their completed space… triple whammy..

Work aside… I am so thankful for all I have. I thank God for his blessings and grace.
