Sean is 5 today

Happy Birthday Sean.

Today is Sean’s 5th birthday; he woke up and told everyone that he is officially 5 years old today. He told me subsequently that he is 6 years old next Jan. Next Jan he will be 6 cos’ he a K2 student. He relates K2 to 6 years old. Well, he’s not wrong either. How cute huh? We had a wonderful birthday celebration for him on Sunday. Thank you all for attending his birthday party and thank you for the wonderful presents. Hope your kiddos like the goodie bag selected by Sean and myself. To all the gugus and pak paks, thank you for your ang pows.

For his 5th birthday, I made him a Pokemon cake. A red and white Pokeball sitting on a yellow cake. I bought the cake ingredients on Saturday evening. My mom helped in the making of 4 chocolate sponge cakes. After the kids slept, I started putting the cake together at 12 midnight. I completed the cake at 4am. Ya, it took slightly longer than usual due to my angle injury.

Side note:- I injured my angle while playing tennis on Friday. To double confirm if Sean really likes tennis, we brought them for tennis on Friday. He likes it and will commence his tennis class in CSC in Dec 08. While playing, I accidentally stepped on one of the tennis balls that were thrown all over the court and twisted my angle. At night, Sean kept reminding me :- “ Mommy, you must see where you are going, be more careful and look at the ball. No need to run for the ball, remember to see where you are going. You don’t have to win; it is ok to lose sometimes.” Those sentences sound extremely familiar….. cos’ I told him that whenever he fell. His tone is also similar to mine…. +sigh+ . Yesterday he asked to go tennis again. He told me to watch him play and added that he is “very good”, as he can hit the ball over the net.

We will be bringing Sean for ice-cream tonight, his birthday treat. This is also a farewell treat for Emma, ya, finally she is leaving us this Thursday. And guess what, we will be left with only one helper for the next two weeks as the new one will only be in by early next month. I have requested my SIL to stay a little longer to help out with the boys during evening time.
