We went to IKEA for beds and curtains. We had wanted to get a bed for Shayne, similar to the ones Sean has…. Out of stock. Subsequently, Lynn advised that IKEA bed is not durable. We have a few wooden bed frame in the store room… I will fixed up one for Sean this weekend. So… no more IKEA bed. We source for the curtains… only manage to get the ones for our library, the curtains in IKEA are unsuitable the boys’ room. Sean chose his curtain (blue polka-dotted curtain) in Spotlight today, after his Podiatrist appointment.
Yes, he got his new pair of foot insole. The podiatrist told me that Sean’s existing shoe is two sizes bigger….it should be one size bigger. The foot insole will increase the girth of the shoe and not the length. OK, I am enlightened now.
We had lunch in Burger King and sent him to school at 1.30pm. Had a great chat with Mrs Tsai. She indicated that school fees will be increased next year due to the reduce in teacher and student ratio. In addition to that, the teachers must meet minimum qualification to teach in pre-school. OK enough said…. School fees will increase next year. Be prepared. Lynn stated that she may send Xeon to School house by the bay. That school has a bigger playground and better facilities. Ya, to be honest, I’m also tempted to enroll the Sara there. But… I reckoned that it is not so value for money. I am a more academic sort of mom… I do not have a lot of time to teach them, the curriculums in Little Fairyland will prepare them well for primary education. Sean is a very good example…. Same as all parents, I am very mad with the recent episode of HFMD outbreak in Little Fairyland, I bet Lynn must be more upset than me as her two kiddos are really badly affected by this, but perhaps this is the childhood sickness that is very difficult to prevent once the kids are in childcare. I was told that as of today, there are 700 cases of HFMD in Singapore.
Oh yes, Foon Che, last night Sean asked if you are coming over next week. He told my mom that he misses you.... as you promised to bring him for sushi and yellow skin (that is his interpretation of Shu Mai).
